I’m visiting the Motherland… Which is actually my mother’s land….I am going to Ghana !!!!!!! My mom left 2 months before me and my brothers… My flight leave August 14 and I’m excited and emotional. This is gonna be the first time in 18 years since i seen my grandma…. I miss her….
This trip is sooo expensive. From the plane ticket and the shopping (i’m going to a wedding while I’m out there) and i think I’m suppose to be getting things for my cousins and aunts and uncles….idk…But any who i will be there for 3 week on a 13hr flight and I’m off….
P.S, Still need to get my vaccination to go wish me luck and no sickness

So i order some Real Technique brushes i made one order then i made another one:
The Powder brush is my favorite so i order it again and order some other of theirs brushes:
The setting brush is everything i love it and the sponge is God’s gift to the world. Only problem the sponge it was kinda difficult to clean and i think i scrubbed it to hard or something cause it started breaking apart on me and i had to order another one.
But i’m not mad at my purchase at all. My brushes clean well and i used ever single brush i bought…Not the biggest fan of the stipple brush but i just use it to highlight.

So after all these amazing youtuber (MakeupByLeinaBaaaby, Kandee Johnson, Nicole Guerriero and WhatWouldLizzyDo ) (I trust them and there opinion on makeup) were taking about Makeup Geek i made the purchase…
I was super excited…i really couldn’t wait to receive my items and try it out. I had already planned to wear a couple looks to a wedding that was coming up in two weeks from my purchase.
A week later i contacted them by email asking why didn’t i receive a confirmation on my order. They replied a day later saying they was backed up and they haven’t got to my order…👀 👀 👀 👀 Ummm really so they said they are a little under staff blah blah and they will get to it as soon as possible. I wasn’t mad i was a little peeved that they wouldn’t contact me letting me know but whatever.
I am contacted a couple days later, I’m thinking its my confirmation my order has been sent. It wasn’t. It was an email telling me one of the eye shadows i order is out of stock and they apologize for the inconvenience and give me 2 option which are: get a refund for that color and order when its in stock or get a replacement color. So i emailed back can i just have it sent to me at a later time when its available she emailed back i can but i would have to pay for shipping all over again. So i was under the impression that it would be in stock soon so i just said i will wait so i wouldn’t have to pay for another shipping….That was a mistake….. I didn’t hear from them again… 2 weeks had passed and so did the wedding smh i was upset…i work really hard and i don’t like people playing with my money…. So i took it to good old twitter i ranted and @makeupgeek respond and here is what happen:
Wow that got fix quick fast and in a hurry… One of my professor told me the squeakiest wheel gets the oil….I guess he was right in this instants…I went from being soooooo upset to well damn….Didnt know what to do with my emotions lol….
So i finally received my order after a month and half of purchase and here it is:
After everything i was still happy when the box came in and they even sent me a card and The CEO Marlena was sooo sweet and kind to me and that went a long way (she kept her word). I would like to Thank her and The Team at Makeup Geek.
And the Youtubers i follow were sooo right about it Makeup Geek eye Shadows just as good or maybe better the Mac shadows and way more inexpensive:
I have been getting great use out of this palette and i even ordered 5 more colors and i have to show the lovely card they sent me:
